Well our stall at the O-Week fair yesterday was a huge success, so much so that ALL our goodie bags and the A-Z guide (still available here as a PDF) completely ran out! We had hundreds sign up for our email list, and got to speak to some awesome new students. There were so many people there and so much fun stuff happening, it was a really great vibe. And we were impressed with how many people were coming to us with a specific interest in women’s issues or feminism.
Our next O-Week thang is our event tomorrow – a picnic in the Women’s Room. Hopefully this will introduce people to the room, to each other, and to our film screenings (which will happen fortnightly). We’ll have drinks and food, and have a bit of a hang out and chat, then we’ll screen Made in Dagenham.
